This well established, successful, modern manufacturing business based in Stockport is looking for a forward thinking, hands on QSHE manager who has the capability to lead the quality and safety department to further success.
  
The company is ISO:9001 accredited and is currently investing in a further accreditation to demonstrate its environmental credentials via ISO:14001.
  
They have a low staff turnover, strong values and a modern manufacturing working environment with significant investment in new equipment in order to continue to support its aim of being a flexible, fast turnaround, batch manufacturing provider.
  
This is an integral role, reporting directly into the Head of Operations and with significant freedom to deliver on desired outcomes.
  
With this in mind, we are looking for someone who has a genuine desire to get a company to WCM standards, can motivate and build a successful team that work to robust quality outputs, has a constant eye on continuous improvement and can work closely with other senior leadership to achieve and maintain ISO:14001 and world class standards.

Key Responsibilities:  
Manage and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (ISO 9001)
Lead daily safety and quality activities, ensuring adherence to HSE regulations
Investigate and resolve customer complaints and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Coordinate environmental activities to attain and maintain ISO 14001
Promote a safety culture and ensure compliance with safety regulations
Oversee quality assurance processes and conduct supplier audits   Main duties to include:  
Report daily KPIs on quality performance
Support new product introduction (NPI) processes
Drive health and safety improvements and manage risk assessments
Supporting business initiatives to improve quality, safety, people, programs and cost delivery
Provide training and support to staff, promoting teamwork and development   Skills needed:  
Experience in managing Safety and Quality in a manufacturing environment
Management experience in an ISO 9001 regulated environment
Hands on capabilities
Solid people skills
A NEBOSH qualification would be desirable   In return you can expect:  
Circa £46-£52k salary
39 hour week (flex start time)
