This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic educator to lead, inspire, and support students in their personal and academic development.
About the Role:
As Head of Year, you will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive school culture, ensuring the well-being of students, and driving academic excellence. You will be responsible for leading a year group, providing guidance and support to both students and staff, and ensuring high standards of behaviour, attendance, and achievement.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the pastoral care and academic progress of a year group.
Monitoring student behaviour, attendance, and performance, and implementing strategies to address any issues.
Working closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support students' individual needs.
Organising and leading year group assemblies and events.
Contributing to whole-school initiatives and playing an active role in the school's leadership team.
Supporting the development and implementation of school policies, particularly those related to student welfare.What We're Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have:
Substantial experience in a pastoral or leadership role within a secondary school setting.
A strong commitment to the safeguarding and well-being of students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
A proven track record of improving student outcomes and behaviour.
