Arthur are working with an International Insurance Broker to find and appoint a new CISO. Our client believes in leveraging technology to enhance their offerings, and are thus seeking a seasoned CISO to lead information security efforts.


The CISO will be responsible for developing and executing the company's information security strategy, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will have experience in creating a NIST framework and will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with applicable regulations and other relevant industry standards. The CISO will also be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our information security team and working collaboratively with other departments to ensure that security risks are identified, assessed, and addressed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive information security program that includes policies, procedures, and controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information assets.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that information security risks are identified, assessed, and addressed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure that the company's information security program complies with all applicable regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and manage a budget for information security initiatives and projects.
  • Lead the information security team, providing direction, coaching, and mentoring to team members.
  • Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and products to improve our security posture.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in information security, including experience within a leadership role.
  • Experience in creating and implementing a NIST framework.
  • Experience in financially regulated industry, insurance preferred
  • Excellent understanding of security-related regulations and industry standards, including NIST and others.
  • Strong technical knowledge of network security, encryption, endpoint security, and cloud security.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
