do attitude. You will need to work on a variety of vehicles whether thats in a team, displaying strong teamwork or independently. The ability to follow instructions is essential within this role. Experience/interest in vehicle diagnostics and electric/hybrid vehicles would be advantageous as they potentially see this role progressing into that field.The successful HGV Technician will: -Level 3 qualification is a minimumHave 3 years vehicle Technician experience since being qualifiedEffective diagnostic skillsStrong interest in motor vehiclesHold a full Driving licence no more than 6 points (minor offences only) HGV is desirableBeing able to work alone or independentlyAbility to follow instructionsExcellent communication skillsMethodical and organisedBeing approachable and helpfulAble to work to strict deadlinesGood attention to detailHave a flexible approach to work.Job dutiesRepair vehicles (mainly HGV but there would also be light vehicles to work on too)Routine maintenance checks to ensure the vehicles are running as they should bePerform diagnostic work on vehicles to resolve issues using relevant diagnostic equipmentEnsure vehicle servicing activities are completed in a safe and high-quality manner in line with both internal and manufacturer requirementsGood technical knowledge of a wide range of vehiclesPossess the ability to work well with customers, maintaining a patient and friendly attitudeAttending breakdowns on occasionsPotential to collect / deliver vehicles (if you have the Licence to do so).
