FULLY REMOTE - PAYING UPTO £40,000 PLUS BONUS


I have partnered with a leading Professional Services business in finding them a Junior Pensions Consultant - Associate level.


Key responsibilities


  • Provides a complete and professional support service to the Consultants, including preparation of draft communications, advice and papers produced within CEB guidelines
  • Assists with preparation of new client agreements and scopes of work to CEB standards
  • Monitors time recording throughout the team ensuring correct protocols are observed.
  • Manages the team invoicing process
  • Updates the workflow processes for the team
  • Builds professional relationships with client’s and other parties (eg administrators, auditors and other practices) becoming liaison in the absence of the Consultants.
  • Liaises with other practice areas and external suppliers as required
  • Develops and continually strengthens pensions and benefits knowledge
  • Contributes to the development of the Consulting capability and collateral of the Consulting Solutions team
  • Effectively manages delivery of work to time, quality and budget
  • Process and tackle any complaints at earliest opportunity with a positive attitude.
  • Acts in accordance with any statutory/professional/CEB guidelines including (but not limited to);
  • Continuing Professional Development
  • Peer review (including maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date records)
  • Time recording (including maintaining accurate, complete and up-to-date records)
  • Conflicts of interest
  • Risk Management
  • Management of Errors and Omissions
  • Achieves client chargeable billable hours target as agreed.
  • Adhere to and contribute to budget setting and project cost monitoring
  • Carries out research, development and special project work as agreed by managers and to deliver outputs within agreed timescales;
  • Cultivates a culture of compliance and risk awareness focusing on the principles of the business.
  • Actively participates in the Company’s performance management process. Agrees personal objectives and goals with managers and make every effort to satisfy these objectives within the specified time frames.

  • Adhere to the requirements set out in the Professional Standards Scheme


Experience, qualifications and key skills


Essential

Honours degree (2.1 or higher)

DB Pensions experience

Trustee experience (preparing Trustee packs, assisting a Senior Consultant, Etc...)

Client facing experience

Excellent IT and organisational skills

Ability to work flexibly and able to work under pressure

Good communication skills

Proactive

Commercially aware

Works positively with colleagues and able to manage workflow


Desirable

Good presentation skills (or ability to acquire such skills)

Good IT skills (Microsoft Office)

Part qualified PMI

Project management experience and knowledge
