Site Manager for Social Housing Projects (Fixed Term Contract)
Location: Ashford, Kent
Salary: Up to £47,000 + Package (including van and fuel card)
Contract Duration: Fixed Term until March 2025
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and committed Site Manager to oversee social housing projects in Ashford. This is a fixed-term contract position until March 2025. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Oversee all stages of construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals.
* Site Supervision: Manage and coordinate subcontractors and on-site staff to ensure work is carried out efficiently and meets specified standards.
* Quality Control: Ensure all work complies with required quality standards and adheres to project specifications.
* Health and Safety: Implement and enforce health and safety regulations, conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments.
* Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure financial targets are met.
* Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of all project phases.
* Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain clear and effective communication throughout the project.
* Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Experience: Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, preferably within social housing projects.
* Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
* Certifications: Valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certification.
* Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, building regulations, and quality standards.
* IT Skills: Proficient in the use of construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Driving License: Full UK driving license.
