Scala Developer


Fintech organisation seek a Scala Developer to join their growing team. As a Scala Developer, you will be responsible for building scalable and high-performance software applications using the latest technologies. You will be a key player in our engineering team, working alongside other developers, data scientists, and product managers to build and deliver our products.


Responsibilities:


  • Design, develop, and maintain Scala-based applications
  • Write high-quality, reusable, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to define requirements, design solutions, and implement new features.
  • Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure code quality and reliability.
  • Participate in agile development methodologies and continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues as they arise.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in software development using Scala and related technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience with high volume systems a nice to have
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and continuous integration and deployment practices.


This role can either be fully remote or hybrid in London.
