In this role, you will join a dynamic and supportive team in a highly regarded school. You will be responsible for the delivery of Design and Technology (DT) lessons to primary and secondary students. As the DT teacher, you will play a crucial role in promoting creativity, problem-solving skills, and practical knowledge among students.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging and interactive DT lessons to studentsnFoster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinkingnAssess and provide timely feedback on student progress and performancesnCollaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the DT curriculumnMaintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performancenCommunicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concernsnParticipate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and extracurricular activitiesnEnsure the safety of students during DT lessons and adhere to health and safety regulations
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant subject areanRelevant teaching experience in Design and TechnologynKnowledge of current educational trends and practices in DT educationnStrong communication and interpersonal skillsnAbility to effectively manage a diverse classroom and cater to individual student needsnHighly organized with excellent time management skillsnFamiliarity with relevant software and technology used in DT teachingnA commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with educational advancements
