I'm exclusively partnered with a Series B marketplace platform that offers delivery services all across the UK at rapid speed. They have been expanding over the last few years, and since securing £200M in funding are now in a position to focus upon scaling their Engineering function.
Their goal? To be the leading deliverer in the UK.
The Engineering team are currently a close-knit and cross functional team of 8 reporting directly into the Director of Engineering, and they are now hiring 6 Engineers across Backend and Frontend before the end of the year
About the Role
As a Senior Python Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing, building, and optimising their next generation of operational tools. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring seamless operations across the supply chain.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design and build forecasting models to improve the accuracy of demand predications.
- Solve complex and evolving challenges with a strong user focus.
- Own the full lifecycle of brand new features from concept to deployment.
- Write scalable, maintainable, and super high-quality code while adhering to best practices.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of backend development experience with Python.
- Strong knowledge developing high-quality, scalable code.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, and DevOps practices.
- Bonus if you have experience with serverless architecture, event-driven systems, and building dashboards for cloud infrastructure.
- A strong understanding of Product and the wider scope of why you're building what you're building.
