Role Overview

Providing Server hardware support across a multi-vendor environment, Hardware consists of HPE Servers, Dell servers.nProvide Data Centre cabling activities installation, termination, patching and testing of all DC interlink cabling ( i.e CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A, fibre optic)nProvide Data Centre Facilities management activities such as but not limited to IMACD (Install, Move And Change, decommissioning) work, escorting external resources, requesting access, goods in/out.

Based on customer sites in Lewisham and London Docklands covering 24/7 365 based on 12hr shifts.

The

tasks

will include (but not limited to):

Responsible for the delivery of solutions within named accounts;nInstallations, maintenance, and repairs on customer equipment.nInstallation, termination and testing of all data centre interlink cabling ( i.e CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A, fibre optic)nStrong Customer relationship building skills. Ability to manage complex Customer problemsnMaintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met. Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately.nTo ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, ensuring calls are escalated when required and customers are updated, until the call is resolved and closed.nThe ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbalnDisplay calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure.

Required skills and attributes

Must have strong knowledge of HPE Proliant, Blade servers & Dell Servers.nExperience of patch cabling in DC environment.nGood knowledge of Service Now (SNOW)nSound knowledge of ESD working practicenSound knowledge of general Health & SafetynGood MS Office tool skills
