Horizon School is a Pupil Referral Unit that supports schools and pupils in the Northern Area of Suffolk.

At Horizon School, we support young people who are finding it challenging to succeed in mainstream education. We offer short-term intervention placements to identify any barriers to them being able to engage positively in their mainstream school and support students with strategies to enable them to achieve their potential.

KS2 Teacher

MPR/UPR + SEN

Full Time, Permanent. Required as soon as possible

We are looking for a teacher who can:

·      be approachable in nature, supportive, understanding and prioritise wellbeing

·      inspire, challenge and motivate our children, staff, managers and parents

·      have the passion to focus relentlessly on what is best for all of our students and staff, promoting a supportive, secure and happy environment for all

·      be highly aspirational, and lead by example with creativity, drawing on their expertise and that of those around them

·      be passionate about the value of education and the need for high-quality teaching and learning

·      demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills

·      embrace and continue the child-focused ethos of our school

·      continue to sustain and develop a broad and balanced curriculum that enriches the whole child.
