We are excited to share an exceptional opportunity to join a Day-Time Social Care team as an Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP). We are seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to be a part of a multidisciplinary team, making a real difference in the lives of those experiencing mental health crises in North Wales.
About the Local Authority:
The authority is responsible for providing a wide range of services to the local community, including social care, education, and public amenities. Located in a beautiful region of North Wales, they are committed to promoting the well-being and autonomy of their residents.
Overview of your role:
As an AMHP, you will work within a dynamic team to assess and support individuals in mental health crises, in accordance with the Mental Health Act 1983. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting mental health assessments and recommending appropriate interventions.
Collaborating with health professionals, social services, and relevant agencies.
Advocating for the rights and preferences of individuals with mental health needs.
Providing advice and support to colleagues and stakeholders on mental health legislation.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.

Requirements:
Registered with Social Care Wales.
Car driver.
Ideally have over 2 years previous experience as an AMHP and be warranted.
Previous experience in Children's Services would be an advantage.
