This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor, from an infrastructure background with previous experience working on Water projects / frameworks, to work for one of the UK leading infrastructure contractors.
As a key member of the team reporting into the Commercial Manager, you will liaise with customer representatives, subcontractors and other third parties on commercial issues including the agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Ensure robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
Work with project delivery teams to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with the target.
Carrying out cost management including forecasting, updating the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
Help ensure that any main contracts entered into have terms and conditions that are appropriate, with commercial risks identified.
Ensure that the supply chain is engaged appropriately with the correct contract terms and conditions.
Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting, and preparing applications for payment.Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Previous Water industry experience.
Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
Minimum 2 years' experience working on civil engineering / infrastructure projects.
Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
Previous experience procuring and managing subcontractors.
Able to produce accurate monthly forecasting, able to challenge resources and costs, and maintain deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar.
Understanding of the processes and procedures when working as part of a JV/Alliance.
Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
