We are happy to be recruiting for one of our high-profile utilities clients. They are currently looking for an IT Project Manager to join them for an initial 6-month contract. However, there may be scope for extension or even a more permanent opportunity.
Job Purpose:
Liaising with IT Managers to ensure the compliance & consistency of project progress management and reporting, process, procedures and artefacts.
Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for cross functional IT projects, undertaking project management & coordination tasks throughout the complete Project Management Lifecycle, including but not limited to:
Project planning, setting goals, project milestones and completion plans
Maintaining and monitoring schedules and budgets for each project
Leasing with team leads to track progress, issue and risk and to distribute tasks accordingly
Tracking the progress and performance of projects
Presenting & preparing project plans & reports
Assessing and taking proper action to resolve project dependencies, risk & issue
Leading project specific meetings between teams and other key business stakeholders
Providing lessons learned & business benefit/outcomes analysis
Providing and maintaining all project artefacts, as appropriate, to ensure information is made visible to all key project stakeholders to aid effective decision making and prioritisation
Responsible for maintaining project documentation in-line with project risk, issue & progress along with PMO standard processes and artefacts
Coordinating & managing projects to ensure that they are delivered smoothly on-time and on-budget with minimal interruptions in work
Location:
This is a predominately remote working role, following the first 4 weeks on site at the clients Plymouth office.
Working hours:
Standard working hours with some flex where required.
