Bid Writer - Main Contractor (£20m Turnover) - South West London
Do you have a passion for construction and a talent for crafting compelling proposals?
We are a reputable main contractor based in South West London with a turnover of £20 million. We are seeking a highly motivated Bid Writer to join our growing team and play a pivotal role in securing new construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Identify and research tender opportunities that align with our company's expertise and target market.
Develop clear and concise bid documents, including technical proposals, method statements, and pricing schedules.
Liaise with internal teams (estimating, design, operations) to gather necessary project information and ensure all bid requirements are met.
Manage the bid writing process from start to finish, adhering to deadlines and ensuring high-quality submissions.
Work collaboratively with the Business Development Manager to understand client needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of our bid library and templates.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends, construction best practices, and tendering regulations.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in bid writing for the construction sector.
A strong understanding of construction processes, contracts, and tender documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience using bid management software a plus.
A meticulous and detail-oriented approach with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
