We are recruiting for a further 15 fitter to expand the team, this is due to business growth, so lots of opportunity for a career in an ever growing business
What will you get as an Assembly Fitter at Safran?
You'll work with industry leaders, and the latest equipment - you'll gain valuable experience in aircraft production, as you work on the leading A320 and A330 family aircraft, using cutting-edge tools like zero gravity lifting and snap-on computerised toolboxes
You'll get a salary rise based on your knowledge - you'll initially receive a starting salary of £35,787, which will increase to £37,839 as soon as you complete your training, which usually takes between 18-24 months

What will I be doing?
As an Assembly Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for assembling and testing Airbus Single Aisle family nose and forestay, main gears, and side stays, all while maintaining a high standard of quality for each component, along with FOD compliance.
You'll work on a regularly rotating shift pattern, covering dayshifts and nightshifts (which include a premium shift payment of 38.5% of your salary). Occasionally, there'll be options for working bridging shifts and weekend shifts too.
What do I need?
You'll already have Fitting experience from a previous role, ideally in an Aerospace or Automotive environment. We're looking for someone with:
A completed Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
The ability to follow technical drawings, specs, procedures, and test instructions
A desire to learn and understand the basic principles of production flow lines, and takt times
Knowledge of COSH and flow line methodologies is ideal, but not essential for you to applyAnything else I need to know?
