Hourly Pay Rate: £52.15 PAYE or £68.81 UMBRELLA
Location: Barrow in Furness (Hybrid, 2 days/week on-site)
Duration: 12 Months

Role Summary:
Outsource UK are Seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development of Obsolescence Management strategies for the BAE Barrow site. This role involves refining asset management systems and elevating staff competencies in obsolescence management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine the Obsolescence Management strategy and process for site facilities and infrastructure.
• Enhance the Barrow Site Asset Management System to include suitable arrangements for Obsolescence Management.
• Provide training, briefings, and coaching to site engineering and maintenance teams to develop their understanding and skills in Obsolescence Management.
• Lead and support reviews of Obsolescence Management and Critical Spares for high criticality assets.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience in ARM (availability, reliability, maintainability) engineering.
• Proven background in obsolescence management and maintenance/support engineering.
• Strong skills in communication, process development, and delivering training.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM or relevant experience in ARM engineering and maintenance.
• Proven experience in obsolescence management and support engineering.
