They have an excellent reputation for their projects completed and for the retention of staff within the business.Estimator / Senior EstimatorThey are now seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their team currently consisting of three Estimators to compile competitive tenders for private and public sector projects.Essential skills:
- Previous tendering and estimating experience essential from £3m plus
- Must be able to prepare competitive tenders
- Tender experience should include some of the following: specification and drawings, bills of quantities, design and build, cost plans and client meetings to negotiate construction works
- Happy to work as part of a small team as well as being self sufficient
- A strong negotiator, capable of gaining competitive advantage
- Ideally general contracting building experience is preferred
- Minimum four years experience in an estimating group
- Ability to estimate and price jobs for sites across London and the South East
- Position reports to the Estimating Manager
- Flexible, able to deal with small simple tenders as well as high value complex ones
- Good communicator, must be able to see tasks through to completion
- Experience of Conquest beneficial but not essential
- Stable work history
