We are actively recruiting exceptional, caring individuals who want to join our team at Bradshaw Lodge, Shripney, Bognor RegisYour role will be based in Bradshaw Lodge which is well under construction and set to open in October 2025Oyster Care Homes are focused on making our homes not just luxury places for our residents to live, but also wonderful places for our team members to work.As a Second Chef, you will work with the Head Chef in preparing all residents' meals, ensuring work is carried out in a safe and hygienic way, the kitchen is kept clean, meeting the Food Safety guidelines and the care homes own high standards.Key responsibilities: -To assist the Head Chef with the preparation of varied, nutritious meals for the residents.-Help with the serving of meals for residents, be understanding of any specific food requirements and ensure everyone is treated with respect, dignity and given choice.-To understand and comply with statutory and legal requirements such as HACCP, Health & Safety, COSHH, Environmental Health, to maintain a safe environment throughout the home.-To clean and tidy all areas of the kitchen with the correct products following instruction and guidance contained in the cleaning schedules ensuring the care home is always cleaned to the highest standards.-Ensure that all kitchen equipment is in full, safe working order, immediately report any faults to the Head Chef and the maintenance.-To receive and unload new stock, store appropriately and rotate current stock correctly to maintain optimum freshness of all food stuff.-To work as an integral part of the team, contribute to meetings and training sessions as required ensuring that the care home is a friendly and supportive working environment.-To support the Lifestyle team with culinary based activities.We will offer FULL Induction Training ProgrammePAID BreaksFULLY FUNDED UniformFULLY FUNDED Blue Light CardFULLY FUNDED Enhanced DBS CheckRefer a Friend BONUS SchemePAY Day BreakfastFREE Meal on ShiftHours of work: (08:00-18:00) and you will be expected to work on a permanent rolling rota of three consecutive shifts on, followed by three consecutive shifts off, which equates to an average of 35 hours per week in total.Hourly Rate of Pay: £15.00Are you a friendly, hard-working individual, with excellent communication skills that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment?
