Salary: £38 - 41K (+ excellent benefits including 28% pension contributions)

Our client is a UK Government organisation with an excellent work / life balance culture and opportunities for long-term career development. This role sits in the IT Operations Team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for ensuring all IT assets and configuration information, (from multiple suppliers), is accurately stored and maintained in one central location.
• Manage the lifecycle of IT assets, (cloud components, hardware, software, licences and warranties etc.)
• Taking into account asset usage, disposal, compliance, inventory, sustainability, cost optimisation and protection of the IT asset portfolio.
• Plan roadmap to ensure upgrades are completed ahead of time.

Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years' experience in an IT asset management and CMDB administration role
• Good understanding of ITILv4 framework and best practise.
• Familiar with an asset management tool and CMDB platform such as ServiceNow
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• String understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud and software components would be ideal
• Qualifications in IT, (Computer Science Degree or similar) and Certifications in ITIL and IT Asset Management ideal
