OverviewnAs a Demand Planner, you will play a pivotal role in driving and shaping the way the supply chain supports global business growth. You will serve as the primary liaison for commercial partners, ensuring a seamless balance between commercial/consumer needs and supply capability. This role offers an exciting opportunity to improve demand forecasting techniques and tools, contributing to the optimisation of the supply chain processes and to make a significant impact on business success through demand planning excellence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demand Forecasting and Management:nDevelop and deliver accurate demand forecasts over a 1 to 2 year horizon, utilising Excel tools and incorporating the latest consumption rates.nEnsure demand plans accurately reflect known marketing activities, product launch timings, and promotional activities.nCollaborate closely with marketing teams to evaluate the likely impact of commercial investments on demand.nReconcile and report on the accuracy of past demand plans and sales forecasts at SKU and customer level detail.

Supply Signal Conversion and Inventory Optimisation:nTranslate forecasts into actionable supply signals, providing item-level recommendations and flow strategies to maximise product availability while optimising cash and inventory.nContribute insights to stocking policies and monitor supply readiness and inventory risks, particularly during promotional and new selling periods.nProactively resolve and communicate supply-related issues to stakeholders, ensuring alignment across functions.

Continuous Improvement:nConduct root cause investigations and develop action plans to continuously improve forecast accuracy and supply performance.nPrepare relevant supply chain materials for Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings, facilitating data-driven decision-making.nDrive process and system improvements to enhance integrated planning capabilities and efficiency.

EXPERERIENCE REQUIRED:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, with a demonstrated track record of driving performance through continuous improvement initiatives. Experience in implementing S&OP demand review or new forecasting tools is advantageous.

Education:nBachelor's degree or equivalent experience. A-Level Mathematics (or equivalent) is preferred.

Skills & Competencies:nAdvanced MS Excel skills, with knowledge of PowerBI/SQL preferred.nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.nUnderstanding of demand planning concepts, tools, and methodologies.nExcellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.nCapacity to work effectively under tight deadlines and deliver results with pace.nExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels.
