We are recruiting for a CNC Programmer/Setter for a Precision Engineering business supplying into the F1, Motorsport and Automotive markets. Due to increase of orders across their biggest customers as well as large investment throughout the business to maximise capacity, the growing business is looking to add a CNC Programmer/Setter to their day shift.

What does it involve?nThe company is looking for an experienced CNC Machinist who has experience working within a fast-paced Sub-Contract Machine Shop to machine parts on their 3, 4 and 5 axis machinery. Heidenhain experience is essential.

What’s needed for me to be considered?nExperienced CNC Miller – skilled Programming/Setter/Operator.nCompetent with Heidenhain controls (Essential)nOffline Programming HyperMILL (advantageous)nFamiliar with DMG, Mikron or Bridgeport machines (advantageous, not essential)nCreating and editing programs online and offline for 5 axis.nReading of technical drawings with both metric and imperial measurements.nUnderstand of GD&T (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)nPrevious experience in a sub-contract machine shop environment.nUse of metrology tools - Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Gauges etc.
