About Us: Astera, a leading company in the film- and event lighting industry known for innovation and excellence, is on the lookout for an Lighting Product Specialist to support our Distributors and Business Development colleagues in Europe and sometimes in other countries with technical know-how, product demos, exhibition attendance, etc. This role offers an exciting opportunity to spread the word about Astera, change the narrative of the brand around Europe, build-up deep relationships, and intensify our partnership with local distributors. Key Responsibilities Support Distributors with technical questions, important product demos, product training. Attend trade shows to demonstrate Astera products and receive technical feedback about our products. Attending Open Days as product specialist to show products, answer questions etc. Visit customers to build relationships within the industry. Support distributors and end customers by answering technical questions, demonstrating Astera products and spreading the knowledge about Astera’s industry-leading features. Investigate market trends of the region. Identify new markets and potential opportunities. Report directly to the Head of Sales. Requirements Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a focus on technical sales In-depth knowledge of the film or event lighting industry. Candidates should have several years of hands-on experience in the field, e.g. as Lighting Technician, Gaffer, DoP, etc. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Effective problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure Flexibility to travel Team player Attention to details Fluent in English, other languages (especially French, Italian, Spanish) are also of use Based in Europe, ideally close to an international airport Want to Work with us?
