Project Manager - Retail Design

A leading retail design agency are seeking 2 experienced project managers to join them on a full-time and permanent basis due to further business growth. This superb agency has a great reputation in the retail design space, working with some of the worlds biggest brands So whether you love Adidas, Mac, Charlotte Tillbury or if The North Face is your thing... it won't matter (provided you have the project management skills to blow our socks off)
We are seeking 2 project managers who are:
* Confident at managing multiple fast-paced retail and brand activation projects on time and within budget, and always strives for the best quality and outcome
* Prepared to travel to visit suppliers and project locations both regionally, nationally and occasionally overseas. Sometimes meeting clients & retailers. We do have supply partners located in Poland & China who may require factory visits occasionally if the project requires it.
* An outstanding communicator valuing good working relationships with colleagues, clients and supply partners.
* A confident and assertive team player who leads by example and able to interact with people with various levels of experience.
* Able to foresee, identify and eradicate risks on a project ensuring that key priorities are dealt with in the most practical order
* Committed to the hours that projects and the industry dictate – requiring a commitment to some out-of-hours activity when duty calls
* A proactive thinker, an efficient doer, works well under pressure
* Strong organisational skills to ensure accurate administration of projects and costs
* Produce accurate production quotes for clients, using excel templates is a necessity.
* The experience to provide guide cost estimates on designs, is not critical, but is a strong advantage. This usually comes with experience though.
* Negotiating with suppliers to ensure best value, as well as having a good eye for detail to ensure supplier goods are fit for purpose and on time
The other Important stuff…..
* A positive, can-do attitude towards the challenges of the industry and a great teamwork ethic.
* Previous project management experience, in the delivery of a wide variety of project types into retail spaces, such as pop-ups, promotional sites, in-store updates/ graphic refreshes, shop in shop builds and/or fixture rollouts in UK / EU and globally.
* Good technical and practical understanding of manufacturing drawings, processes, and materials. EG, Woodwork, Metal fabrication, Plastics fabrication, Digital & screen print, LED lighting, rudimentary Audio Visual displays & signage making practices, packaging & goods handling / freight delivery.
* Experience with MS Office (particularly Excel) & Sage Job Cost or similar
* A good command of current Health & Safety requirements for working in public spaces, CDM regulations, H&S codes of practice, as well as the requirements and logistics of working on the high street, within shopping centres, in out-of-town locations, for events, clients’ offices, and overseas – training can be given on this as experiences can vary massively
* Strong numeracy, and communication skills (excellent written & spoken English)
* Unfortunately due to the nature of this position we cannot consider those without a driving licence as there may be travel required due to the nature of this role.
