Trainee Quantity Surveyor

Role Overview: As a Trainee Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and oversight of financial and contractual aspects across various projects. This position is ideal for a motivated individual currently pursuing a degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field, offering valuable hands-on experience in the design and build industry. You will have the opportunity to grow your career with the potential for advancement into more senior roles.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing the financial and contractual components of projects under supervision. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost estimation and budget management. Provide support in preparing tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation. Participate in cost control and value engineering processes to optimise project costs. Contribute to fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. Qualifications and Experience:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Interest in gaining practical experience within the design and build industry. Strong academic foundation in quantity surveying principles and practices. Skills and Attributes:
Solid numerical and analytic skills with a basic understanding of quantity surveying concepts. Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment. Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to learning and development. Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic work environment. Commitment to delivering quality work and achieving results.
