What you will do:nYou’re an experienced software engineer who thinks “beyond the code”, recognises the continuum between bespoke engineering and self-serve products, and how this helps scale up a B2B company. You want to continue growing professionally, enjoy learning and acting autonomously, and prefer working on long-lived products over short-term projects.nYou’ll be critical in maturing our domain-specific platform and its features, benefiting the product as a whole.
For example :ndesigning and building easy-to-use data uploading systems, so our clients can confidently upload and configure complex datandesigning and building troubleshooting tools, so client success staff can solve problems without needing developer interventionnimproving the B2B onboarding experience for our clients and their technical and administrative staffnhelping people solve (and prevent) thorny problems; both with internal tools, and occasionally directly with client staffnspotting pain points, sources of friction and paper cuts in the platform; suggesting and making simplifications and improvements
You’ll join a lean, fully-remote collaborative team, supported by an Engineering Manager, and work day-to-day with the CTO, engineering team, client success team, and others.
RequirementsnYou MUST have :nDemonstrated experience over a number of years in software engineering, solving problems like the abovenRecent experience in Symfony and PHP
It’s nice if you’re familiar with:nweb interface and database-driven API development, particularly for B2B productsndynamic and rich front-end experiencesnagile software developmentnDevOps tools and practices – they use DigitalOcean, GitLab, and Docker
And they’ll love it if you’re familiar with, or interested to learn :nScholarly publishingnSAML authentication technologiesnAnalytics data processing and COUNTER reporting
