The Bid Writer will be working on a prestigious projects within the Heavy Civil Engineering Sector. The company that Bid Writer will be working for are a well-established Civil Engineering contractor, whom work on projects from conception through construction to project delivery. The companies’ specialities span across a variety of different sectors including water and waste water, infrastructure and coastal protection.

Bid Writer Position OverviewnStudy tender documentation and information providednSite visits and discussions with key subcontractors.nWork with the selected designer and consultants on Design & Build contractsnLiaise with the client, client designer ad stakeholders when requiresnLiaise with other staff for support (Design, Contracts, Plant, Senior Management)nCoordinate and produce high quality, accurate and attractive tender documents, responses and presentationsnUnderstand and define client requirements from tender documents and wider industry knowledgenHelp define the best offer to win each tendernDecide on the best method to present a persuasive and compelling offer that meets client and tender requirementsnAid the Estimator to assess & highlight risks that are to be taken by the company subject to tender review processnEnsure that quality/technical envelope submissions are complete and submitted on timenSolicit feedback on tender submissions, continually review the content & quality of submissions to increase the company’s success rates.

Bid Writer Position RequirementsnDegree educated would be desirablenExperience in effective bid writingnAssociation of Bid & Proposal Management professional membership or working towards it (APMP )nUK Driving LicencenGood communication skillsnKnowledge of production of bids/tendersnMicrosoft Office skills -Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
