About the role:
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) at our school, you’ll be stepping into a dynamic and fulfilling role that makes a real difference in the lives of young learners. You’ll be supporting both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, taking on a variety of responsibilities that range from leading small groups to covering classes in the absence of teachers.
This role is perfect for someone passionate about education, highly adaptable, and eager to contribute to the academic and personal growth of our students. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated teachers to develop and deliver engaging lesson plans that ignite a passion for learning in every child.
Application Requirements:
• Experience: Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or Higher Level Teaching Assistant, particularly in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Qualifications: HLTA status or equivalent, with a strong understanding of the primary curriculum.
• Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Attributes: A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to manage time effectively and work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead Learning: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to small groups and entire classes in the absence of the class teacher.
• Support Students: Work closely with children of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs, to ensure they receive the support they need to thrive.
• Assist in Assessments: Help in assessing students’ work, providing feedback, and contributing to their ongoing development.
• Collaborate with Staff: Partner with teachers and other staff members to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
