Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and proactive Premises Assistant to join our team at a secondary school in Croydon. The Premises Assistant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the school premises, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of the school and make a positive impact on the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the school premises, including cleaning, repairs, and general maintenance tasks
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify and address any health and safety hazards or maintenance issues
- Support the security of the premises by monitoring access, responding to alarms, and ensuring the safety of the school environment
- Assist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events, meetings, and activities
- Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and assist with ordering and restocking as needed
- Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents on the premises, and liaise with relevant authorities or contractors as required
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to premises management
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in premises management, facilities maintenance, or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
