About the Role:
Seeking empathetic, personable Teaching Assistants with a talent and passion for empowering young people. The role focuses on educating and caring for vulnerable students. Every day is unique, and as a Teaching Assistant, you will support students across various subjects, fostering their confidence, independence, employability, and self-reliance. You might find yourself working in the college garden, caring for small animals, or assisting in art, drama, music, or woodwork classes, as well as supporting cooking lessons and Math and English.
Responsibilities:
Supporting students with diverse learning difficulties and disabilities
Facilitating reasonable adjustments to enhance student engagement
Mentoring students and encouraging task focus
Demonstrating skills to aid student understanding
Assisting with personal care and health needs
Candidate Requirements:
Willingness to undergo relevant training
Enthusiasm for working across various college faculties
Recent experience working with individuals with special educational needs (preferred but not essential)
Positive attitude, patience, and reliability
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
These roles are perfect for individuals seeking a flexible position within learning support, working term-time only, or those looking to transition from the care sector to a career in supported learning. Full training and support will be provided.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
