We are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant in Trafford to start in September
Times - Monday to Friday 8:30am-3:30pm.
Contract - Start September 2024, full time & long term. Expected to go perm for the right person.
Pay - Up to £90/day for first 12 weeks, equal pay to permanent staff from 13th week.
Paid PAYE via Tradewind, we don't use umbrella companies
Role - SEND Teaching Assistant at special needs primary school in Trafford.
Supporting pupils aged 3-11 with Autism, Complex Needs & PMLD.
Working in small groups and 1:1 at times.
Teamwork with the class teacher and other Teaching Assistants.
Delivering Personal Care support as and when required which could involve, changing, moving, feeding, toileting and personal hygiene tasks.
Working towards individual IEPs and EHCPs.
Multi-agency working with outside professionals such as physiotherapists, educational psychologists, medical professionals etc.
Building strong relationships with parents in order to liaise with them about pupil progress.
The School & Pupils
Special Needs primary school in Trafford.
All students have an EHCP for Autism, SEMH & Learning, Communication or Sensory needs.
Most students working at lower levels than expected for their age.
Class sizes of no more than 8 pupils including TA support.
Collaborative teamwork atmosphere.
Welcoming and inclusive environment.
Excellent facilities & resources that help enable & enhance their holistic curriculum offer.
Strong links with other schools, parents and outside professionals aiding the education and care that the school provides.
Easily accessible by car, bus or train.
