Goodman Precision Engineering Ltd, based in Milton Keynes, manufacture high precision CNC milled and turned components from solid and cast in wide range of metals and plastics. We supply across a variety of industry sectors including Motor sport, Automotive and Industrial. At our core is an established customer base within F1 and the specialist performance car industry, where we low volume and short lead times are our specialty.


Due to continued growth, we are now looking to expand our quality team with an experienced Quality Inspector.

The successful candidate will hold an integral role within the day-to-day activities of the manufacturing team, ensuring a smooth and efficient running of the manufacturing process. You will be responsible for first off and final inspection, machine shop feedback and customer reporting.


In addition, you may be asked to support the Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System, ensuring total compliance to ISO 9001. 

 

Skills and Experience required:

·      Experienced Quality Inspector from a fast-paced environment. Preferably within a precision engineering CNC milling and turning industry such as Motorsport, Automotive or Aerospace

·      Demonstrate excellent knowledge of manual inspection techniques and equipment

·      Experienced CMM user - Mitutoyo MCOSMOS preferred but not essential

·      Excellent communication skills and PC literacy

·      Good communication with ability to relay clear and concise feedback to operators and engineers

·      Work efficiently to deadlines

·      A good working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015

·      A good understanding of machining practices

All shift options considered to suit applicant:

Early - 06:00 - 14:30, Monday – Thursday. 06:00 - 13:30, Friday

Late - 14:00 - 22:00, Monday – Thursday. 13:00 - 20:00, Friday

Night - 20:30 – 07:15, Monday – Thursday.
