Screen Print Technician

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Screen Printer to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, operating, and maintaining screen printing equipment to produce high-quality prints on a variety of materials. This role requires precision, creativity, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest quality output for our customers.
Key Responsibilities:Screen Printing Operations:
* Set up and operate screen printing machines for apparel, signage, or promotional materials.
* Prepare screens, mix inks, and adjust machinery to achieve optimal print quality.
* Align substrates and screens accurately to ensure consistent, high-quality prints.
Quality Control:
* Inspect printed materials to ensure colors, designs, and placements meet quality standards.
* Troubleshoot and correct printing defects such as misalignment, smudging, or ink inconsistencies.
Machine Maintenance:
* Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on screen printing equipment to ensure efficiency and longevity.
* Replace screens, squeegees, and other machine components as needed.
Production Scheduling:
* Work with the production team to meet daily quotas and production deadlines.
* Manage time effectively to handle multiple orders while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Ink & Material Management:
* Mix and match inks to match client specifications or design requirements.
* Monitor inventory levels for ink, screens, and other printing supplies.
Health & Safety Compliance
* Follow safety protocols when handling chemicals, machinery, and hazardous materials.
* Ensure the work area is clean and complies with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven experience in screen printing or a related field.
* Knowledge of screen printing techniques, ink types, and fabric/material properties.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to work with precision.
* Ability to troubleshoot and solve printing-related issues.
* Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
* Physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
* Familiarity with printing software and design programs (preferred but not required).
Education
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Formal training in screen printing or graphic arts (preferred but not required).
