Our client is a trusted provider of facilities management services, is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at a busy train station. This role focuses on reactive maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation and safety of electrical systems within the station premises. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
Responsibilities:
Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to electrical maintenance requests and emergencies at the train station, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure passenger safety.
Electrical Repairs: Perform repairs, replacements, and adjustments on electrical systems and components, including circuits, switches, lighting fixtures, and power distribution systems, to address issues and prevent failures.
Fault Finding: Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify electrical faults and failures, troubleshooting complex problems and implementing corrective actions to restore functionality.
Testing and Inspection: Conduct electrical testing, inspections, and certification activities in accordance with regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance and safety.
Emergency Response: Be available for on-call duty and emergency response outside of regular working hours, providing rapid assistance in the event of electrical emergencies or power outages.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, test results, and compliance documentation, ensuring thorough documentation and reporting.
Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures at all times, ensuring that work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
Client Communication: Liaise with station management, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders to coordinate maintenance activities, provide updates on work progress, and address any concerns or queries in a professional manner.
Requirements:
Minimum of 17th Edition Wiring Regulations certification is essential.
Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer or similar role, with a focus on reactive maintenance in commercial or industrial settings.
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
