The Position: -
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Business Systems Analyst with knowledge and expertise in setting up IT platforms for the finance department. You will play a pivotal role in collaborating with various stakeholders to understand and analyze business requirements and translate them into IT platforms through configuration. You would have a sound understanding of out of box capabilities of the software and be able to identify and propose customizations or workarounds to meet business needs. You should be comfortable in partnering with cross functional stakeholders and influencing use of best practices and driving standardization across global teams.
Key Responsibilities: -
* Collaborate with business teams to elicit and document detailed requirements, ensuring a deep understanding of business processes and objectives.
* Document use cases, current state and future state processes, create process flow diagrams, high level architecture visuals to facilitate clear understanding amongst stakeholders
* Analyze existing processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement and automation.
* Design solutions that leverage the capabilities of Platform, taking into consideration user experience, scalability, and integration requirements.
* Document functional specifications in a clear and concise manner
* Liaison between business teams, team members, project manager, developers, and QA to turning business needs into actionable development tasks and working solutions.
* Perform comprehensive testing of solutions to ensure a working product that meets business expectations
* Identify, communicate and propose mitigations to risks, challenges and issues impacting processes and/or data flow that may arise during implementation
* Assist in change management activities by preparing end users for system changes, including training sessions and documentation
* Anticipate and address potential resistance to change and prove support to users during transition period
Attributes we are looking for: -
* Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
* Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on Financial Analysis
* Strong understanding of financial principles, period closing, consolidations budgeting, and forecasting
* Familiarity with Financial systems, ERP systems, and IT Project Management
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
* Experience with Financial Close / Financial Consolidation software like One Stream, Oracle HFM preferred.
