Your role will be to understand and approach businesses in terms of their insurance requirements and to design and administer insurance solutions for the protection of their material assets and liabilities.
Developing and retaining business you will have access to a wide range of market leading wholesale and insurer underwriters in order to place various types of commercial insurance.nYou will need commercial insurance broking experience and new business development skills alongside a desire to grow an existing book of business. Previous experience of developing a commercial insurance book will be a strong advantage but options are open for those with an affinity or a previously large commercial portfolio.
As a Commercial Account/Development Executive you will be given every support possible to ensure your success in terms of access to an in house telemarketing services, dedicated claims handling team, databases, account handlers, access to leading insurance products and networks. It comes with a generous commission structure, car allowance and you will be based at the Devizes Higos Insurance Services offices.
The day to day:nDeliver against agreed targets and plans.nNew Business Quotations, Renewals and MTA’s - drive sales and service excellence & retain existing commercial book.nTypical classes of insurance broking cover Liabilities, PI Combined, Commercial Combined, Property Owners, Cyber Liability, D&O, Fleets, Motor Trade, plus others.nCreating a customer-led culture where sales and customer standards, discipline, activities and best practice are delivered.nEnsure you are meeting FCA regulatory requirementsnAble to build long standing relationships with insurers and clientsnSeeking best policy for the customer whilst protecting the insurernPrioritise time and attention on high value activities.nSelect the best course of action based on the available information

Your Experience:nRelevant and demonstrable commercial insurance broking industry experience.nExperience of dealing with new business, renewals and mta’s for a wide range of commercial insurance risksnKnowledge of company industry types and operating conditionsnAbility to develop and maintain client relationshipsnExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsnConfident in creating compelling market insurance presentationsnPro-active and self-motivatednPlanning and organisation skills to meet deadlinesnAttention to detailnCo-operative and supportive team player
