SUMMARY


OXBO are delighted to be working with an exciting UK renewable energy developer who are currently looking to grow the team and recruit a Land Manager to assist in the development of their renewable energy projects.


They are looking for an experienced individual with expertise in Land Management processes for renewable energy projects (Options/Heads of Terms/Leases & Easements/Wayleaves) to join the team and add to their exciting pipeline of projects in the UK.


This role involves identifying new sites that align with the company's strategic goals, working with landowners, and negotiating leases in compliance with regulations to prepare projects for development.


ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Identify and evaluate sites suitable for BESS and solar projects.
  • Develop strategies for land leases/acquisitions for greenfield projects, ongoing projects, and project acquisitions.
  • Obtain necessary documentation for easements or leases from public records.
  • Organise and deliver presentations to landowners.
  • Negotiate and secure easements/leases for BESS and solar development, including related agreements with project landowners.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to ensure the delivery of accurate and complete agreements.
  • Organise documents, records, and files related to each project and landowner assigned to the land agent.
  • Engage with and support the project development manager.
  • Stay updated on applicable regulations related to battery and solar project development.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, including managing deadlines, objectives, timelines, and success criteria.


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES


  • Background in energy development, specifically the project development process.
  • Ability to take ownership of individual projects.
  • Comfortable initiating contact through cold or warm leads.
  • Understanding of the planning system as it pertains to energy developments.
  • Interest in renewable energy development with an existing industry network.
