PT Renewables is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join one of our fastest-growing clients.


You'll be joining the business as an Experienced Senior Engineer, leading the design and development of new transformers and generators.


If you've got a passion for designing, creating, and tinkering with all things mechanical design, then this could be the role for you.


What's the role?


You'll be using software such as AutoCAD, CAD etc to design and develop transformers and generators.


From sketching out designs to crafting detailed documentation, you'll be the driving force behind the Transformer Engineering Department.


This is also a chance to have a real positive impact across the world, with your designs helping build a greener electrical infrastructure in the UK and Europe.


What's my day-to-day?


  • Sketching out Mechanical Designs for Transformers and Reactors, up to 132kV.
  • Bringing those designs to life with 3D CAD skills.
  • Gaining a deep understanding of compliance, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Becoming a centre of knowledge for all things Transformers.


What do I need?

  • You’ve got real, hands-on experience in Mechanical design, preferably in an OEM or similar setup.
  • Experience in CAD, AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault
  • Confident navigating PDM systems
