Prince are working with a professional services company based in Telford. They are looking for a Financial Controller to manage the businesses finances. You will be reporting into the businesses Partners, and you will supervise two members of staff.
Duties:
* Preparing management reports, cashflows, expenses, budgets and other management information required.
* Monitoring income and expenditure against budgets.
* Maintaining office and client ledgers.
* Overseeing daily banking.
* Handle bank accounts, ensuring they are reconciled regularly.
* Ensure compliance with accounting regulations.
* Prepare and submit monthly financial reports.
* Provide accountants with relevant information for annual financial accounts and annual audit.
* Oversee petty cash and office expenses.
* Handle and/or assist with month-end and year-end financial and management reports and reconciliations.
* Submitting quarterly VAT returns.
* Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
* Stay updated on changes in regulations.
* Handle or assist with the annual certificate renewals and professional indemnity insurance, healthcare insurance, sickness insurance and life insurance.
* Monthly salaries, pensions and PAYE.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will need to have experience of working in a similar role. You will need to be a confident communicator who is a practical hands-on Financial Controller/Finance Manager.
