Managing Associate – Group Actions & Competition (Contentious / Non-Contentious) Location: London (Hybrid) Sector: Competition & Group Litigation Are you an ambitious Managing Associate with a strong background in UK and EU competition law? The Role You’ll take a leading role in both non-contentious and contentious competition law matters, working on a range of UK and EU mandates across merger control, cartel investigations, and litigation. You’ll also play a key part in the development of the firm’s growing consumer protection practice — an exciting area of expansion for the team. What You’ll Be Doing Advising on merger control and foreign direct investment rules, including the National Security and Investment Act. Handling cartel and abuse of dominance investigations. Managing competition litigation , including group actions and opt-out claims. Providing pre-action analysis and strategic support on competition law claims. Advising on market studies , state aid , and subsidy control issues. Leading client relationships, supervising associates, and driving business development initiatives . What We’re Looking For A qualified lawyer (England & Wales or equivalent) with extensive UK/EU competition law experience . Strong track record across both contentious and non-contentious matters. Confident leading cases, mentoring junior lawyers, and shaping client strategy. A commercial mindset and a proactive approach to business development.
