Are you a skilled social worker with a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals facing homelessness? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Practitioner to join our Homeless Intervention Team on a locum basis, working within a large and dynamic local authority in the West Midlands.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage complex cases involving individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify needs and develop tailored intervention plans.

Collaborate with a range of agencies including housing, health, and social services to ensure coordinated and effective support.

Provide expert advice and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

Maintain accurate case records in accordance with local authority policies and legal requirements.

Engage in multi-agency meetings, contributing to the development and implementation of effective homelessness prevention strategies.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with valid Social Work England registration.

Extensive post-qualification experience, ideally within a homeless intervention or related setting.

Strong assessment, analytical, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle complex and high-pressure situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse stakeholders.

Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to homelessness and social care.
