Vision for Education are recruiting for a qualified Primary Teacher to work on a 1:1 basis with an EYFS student with complex needs in Settle from September 2024. The role is part-time (18 hours across 5 days) with pay from £24 per hour.

Our client residential setting in Settle is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teacher to join their team in September 2024 on a temporary to permanent basis. As an Primary Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting and facilitating the educational and social development of an EYFS student with complex learning needs.
Responsibilities:
Deliver effective and inclusive lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH learning needs.
Adapt teaching methods and resources to accommodate individual learning styles and abilities.
Create a supportive and nurturing classroom environment that fosters academic progress, emotional well-being, and positive behavior.
Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff to develop individualised Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and implement strategies for student progress.
Regularly assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Establish strong communication channels with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the care and education of students with SEND.
Stay updated with the latest educational practices, policies, and developments in the field of special educational needs, integrating them into your teaching approach.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Primary Teacher you will:
Hold a PGCE qualification with Qualified Teacher Status
Specialisation or experience in teaching students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Deep understanding of various learning difficulties, such as autism spectrum disorders, dyslexia, ADHD, and speech and language impairments.
Strong knowledge of different teaching strategies, interventions, and resources for SEND students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external professionals.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with SEND.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students in an ever-changing educational environment.

Salary
£24 to £36 per hour
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
A Level 4 HLTA qualification and experience supporting in a school or similar setting
