In return, we offer a salary of £51,330 plus Private Health Care, Geo Allowance (£1,000), up to 10% Bonus (~ £5,133), Company Pension, and Benefits Catalogue.
Total Package at the time of joining to £57,463.
We’ll help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.
This role is day based only, however will re-join shift rota throughout 2024.
Role will be attached with Shift Allowance of 20% upon re-joining the rota.
What will I be doing?
* During your shifts, you’ll see that our plant runs smoothly, in line with environmental regulations. It means monitoring operations in the control room, inspecting plant operations and dealing with any problems as they arise.
* You’ll have a team of shift personnel, (senior operations technician and operations technicians) to manage and we’ll expect you to make sure they’re trained and motivated to carry out their roles.
* As the senior authorised person on site, you’ll be responsible for the facility outside office hours. That means you need to be a capable professional with first aid and fire marshal training.
What are the requirements?
* You will have experience working in a similar power generation or chemical process plant, ideally an Energy Recovery facility.
* You’ll certainly know how they work and a good understanding of any of the following would be advantageous; boilers, incinerators, steam systems and high voltage switchgear (S9/S4). Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent experience) in mechanical, electrical or process engineering.
* SUEZ will invest in an extensive training and development program for you, which will involve completing BOAS Cert IBO qualification and NEBOSH General Certificate, if you don’t have them already.
* Alongside this technical expertise, you’ll have excellent team management skills and the ability to get the best out of people. IT-literate with permit to work systems experience and well-versed in environmental legislation, you’ll be a pivotal member of the team.
