Position: Control and Network Planning Engineer

Employment Type: Permanent | Full Time

Responsibilities: As a Control Engineer within electricity networks-both owned by a leading energy company and privately operated-you'll execute the duties outlined in the Operational Safety Rules. Your primary focus will be ensuring compliance with the Safe System of Work developed by the organization. Additionally, you'll contribute to network planning efforts and collaborate closely with the Real Time Solutions Field and Design teams. Participation in Operational Review Board meetings and customer interactions will also be part of your role.

Key Tasks:

  • Execute the responsibilities of a Control Engineer.
  • Ensure strict adherence to the organization's Safe System of Work.
  • Assist with network planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate effectively with the Real Time Solutions Field and Design teams.
  • Engage in Operational Review Board sessions and customer meetings.

Qualifications and Skills: To be considered for this position, we value the following qualifications and attributes:

  • In-depth understanding and practical experience with the UK Model Distribution Safety Rules, ideally in the capacity of a Control Engineer or Senior Authorized Person.
  • Familiarity with network control systems , preferably including GE PowerOn.
  • Strong communication skills , both written and verbal.
  • Ability to maintain operational excellence even in high-pressure situations.
