Maintenance Engineer
Location: Bicester, Oxfordshire
Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week plus overtime
Shift Pattern: Days, Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join a growing team in Bicester. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining building services and equipment across three buildings to ensure the reliability of depot operations and the safety of our colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform preventative maintenance activities on equipment such as electric doors, cooking vessels, heated pan kettles, and metal detectors.
* Schedule lubrication routines and handle general reactive repairs to reduce reliance on external contractors.
* Monitor and maintain building services to ensure operational efficiency.
* Provide flexible support by responding to out-of-hours call-outs on an ad hoc basis during emergencies.
Qualifications and Skills:
* NVQ Level 3/BTEC or higher in electrical or mechanical engineering (candidates with Level 2 and relevant experience will also be considered).
* Knowledge of general facilities plumbing is advantageous.
* Proven reliability and flexibility in responding to emergencies.
* Experience in a similar maintenance role is preferred.
