About the Business:
A respected name in the accountancy and finance sector, known for their commitment to excellence and their client-focused approach. Their Angus offices are expanding and are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join the existing dedicated team. This business believes people are their greatest asset and are committed to providing a supportive and collaborative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
- Process invoices, payments, and reconcile accounts on a regular basis.
- Assist in the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Support the preparation of VAT returns and other regulatory compliance requirements.
- Liaise with clients and provide excellent customer service regarding accounts-related inquiries.
- Contribute to the improvement of financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounts assistant role or similar position is preferred.
- A good understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
