Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – The Role:
As a result of ongoing growth and expansion, Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder requires an experienced mechanical engineer to work at our Rainham, Essex depot. Offering a competitive rate of pay, a dynamic and friendly working environment, and a secure position within an established company.
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the Operations Manager
- Hydraulic system installation, diagnosis and repair
- Electrical system installation, diagnosis and repair
- Welding (Mig,Arc), cutting and fabrication skills
- Fault finding and rectification
- Periodic service and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment conditions
- Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – The candidate:
- Proven experience in maintenance within a production environment
- Competent in mechanical repairs and maintenance, including bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics and welding
- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
- Able to work in a fast-paced pressurised environment
- You must have a good command of the English language
- Must be a good time keeper.
