The Role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspiring Year 6 Class Teacher to join the team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about teaching, have high expectations for all pupils, and demonstrate a commitment to fostering a love of learning. You will play a pivotal role in preparing pupils for their transition to secondary education, ensuring they leave us as confident, capable, and compassionate individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum and the Catholic ethos of the school.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.
Monitor and assess pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting targets to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support pupil well-being and academic success.
Contribute to the spiritual life of the school, participating in collective worship, prayer, and school liturgies.
Prepare pupils for end-of-year assessments, including SATs, with a focus on promoting resilience and confidence.About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience in teaching KS2, preferably Year 6.
A strong understanding of the primary curriculum, including preparation for SATs.
A commitment to the ethos and values of a Catholic education, with the ability to support the spiritual development of pupils.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A passion for teaching and a dedication to fostering a love of learning in all pupils.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage time effectively.What We Offer:
