Their team is passionate about creating value for customers and stakeholders, and we are looking for a strategic and results-oriented Head of Commercial Finance to join their finance leadership team.


Role Overview: As the Head of Commercial Finance, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and driving business performance. You will partner with commercial teams, providing insights and recommendations to enhance revenue growth, profitability, and strategic decision-making. This role requires a strong blend of financial acumen, commercial understanding, and leadership skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to develop and implement financial strategies that drive revenue and profitability.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor performance, and customer data to identify growth opportunities.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and financial terms of commercial deals.
  • Monitor and manage financial performance against commercial targets, providing actionable insights.
  • Build, and develop and brand new commercial finance team from scratch.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior commercial finance role, preferably within a fast-paced industry.
  • Experience within a scale-up setting, c£30-£50m.
  • Retail experience is essential, ideally with understanding on global operations, particularly with exposure to manufacturing entities in the Far-East.
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of commercial operations and revenue management.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated experience in pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments.
