It is essential that all applicants have 5 or more years’ experience of loans documentation. This is not a front office role and will be purely based within middle office and operations. Only candidates that have worked within UK banking will be considered.
Our client is looking for a Senior Loans Documentation Specialist to join their team in London on a permanent basis. This is a Hybrid role, 2 days in the office and 3 working from home.
This role will cover all documentation aspects in relation to corporate and commercial loans (syndicated and bilateral), commercial property loans, secondary market trades, offshore account bank and offshore security trustee roles (Project financing related), guarantees and counter indemnities.
This middle office role will sit within the Operations team which is involved in all aspects of loans, guarantees and international payments (Offshore Account bank related) from documentation, settlement/issuance, administration and CDD/KYC as it operates as a back office and part middle office function.
Key responsibilities:
* Review and negotiation of all loan, guarantee, offshore account and security trustee roles (project financing related) and operating account documentation in conjunction with Manager Operations ensuring the bank’s position is protected to the fullest extent possible.
* Provide a high level of customer service to clients and other internal / external stakeholders.
* Provide technical expertise and assistance to internal / external stakeholders to support the business of the branch to a high level.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Sound knowledge of loan documentation including syndicated, bi-lateral and commercial property loans. Experience with dealing with lawyers / borrowers, etc. during the negotiation stages.
* Experience dealing with project financing offshore account / security trustee roles beneficial.
* Experience of Islamic loan documentation beneficial.
* Excellent Word / Excel / Outlook / keyboard / systems skills
* Small team environment beneficial.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to multi-task, problem-solve and analyse
